Yeux Koweït coopération d'investissement plus proche avec l'Algérie - Cheikh Abdullah
Feb 29 (KUNA) -- Board Chairman of Kuwait Investment Projects Co. (KIPCO) Asset Management Co. (KAMCO) Sheikh Abdullah Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah called here Wednesday for reinforcing ties between Kuwait and Algeria in all domains, notably the investment field. Sheikh Abdullah, also board member of KIPCO, stressed the need to speed up the implementation of the signed accords in the sectors of communication, housing and pharmaceuticals. He made the press remarks after meeting Algerian Minister of Industry, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, and Promotion of Investment Mohamed Benmeradi here, "The Algerian market offers a lot of promising investment opportunities for the Kuwaiti firms," he said "KIPCO, with big potentials, seeks to tap into these investment opportunities in sisterly Algeria and contribute to the success of joint projects," Sheikh Abdullah affirmed. On his part, the Algerian minister said a number of important documents on mutual investment will be signed "very soon" with KIPCO "These include a contract on launching a pharmaceutical plant in Algeria," Benmeradi said, adding that he presented to Sheikh Abdullah the designs of a factory for producing power transformers with capacities ranging between 4,500 and 8,000 volts. Earlier today, Algerian President Abdulaziz Bouteflika received Sheikh Abdullah at the presidential palace here.
